
Gannet Girl has posted an
excerpt from T.S. Eliot's
poignant Ash Wednesday (or read the entire poem
here). It reminded me of this photo I took last summer on Cape Ann - near where Eliot summered as a boy.
I used a bit of Eliot in a piece I wrote last night: "Human kind cannot bear very much reality." (From
Burnt Norton).
I just posted about our Ash Wednesday service. Had I remembered that line from Burnt Norton, I would have used it for the title.
